YOGA TOOK EVERYTHING I LEARNED TO BE TRUE ABOUT MY SELF AND THE WORLD, AND LINED IT UP WITHIN ME WITH GREAT CLARITY.IT HAS ALSO INTRODUCED ME TO MY INNER TEACHER. THROUGH PRACTICING YOGA- I FIND SPACE AND SILENCE IN ORDER TO HEAR THIS INNER VOICE AND GROW.

Ashley Purvis

I was so far out of touch with who I was, I wanted to find myself again. Yoga did that for me. I teach so I can help others on their journey of self-realization and spiritual healing. My goal as a power yoga teacher is to create an energy and space to clear your mind, take inventory of what you're holding in your body, and take notice of you; gaining insight, self-love, comfort, and clarity.

Yoga has emerged as the missing piece of the puzzle for me. It has allowed me to both explore myself and take control of my health narrative. A regular meditation and asana practice have given me the tools to reconnect to myself and others in a meaningful way. The possibilities of what yoga can do has opened new avenues in my professional life as much as it has my personal one. As a physical therapist, movement and health and wellness are of the utmost importance to me and yoga has allowed me to bring a more person-centered, integrative and functional approach of medicine to my patients. 
As a yoga teacher, I hope to guide others through safe asana practice and help them find for themselves the missing pieces yoga can offer.

Lauren Mauro

Yoga has really changed my life and has helped me deal with and cope with everyday struggles in a healthy way. Yoga is a dear friend of mine and I love to share it with anyone who needs it (everyone).  I recently completed my 200 hours of yoga teacher training at North Star and I can't wait to share my knowledge, passion, and skills with you all. Besides yoga, I love to thrift and collect vintage clothes, travel, and read the news. 

 

WHAT WE OFFER

 

Power Basics

Power basics is a chance to come to the essential. Wether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi we all benefit from sharpening the basics. Lets build a solid foundation together.


Vinyasa Express

A 45 min Power Vinyasa flow designed to awaken your body and quicken the senses. This class will set you up right for the day ahead. 


Vinyasa 60, 75

A 60 or 75 minute Vinyasa flow that cultivates your receptive abilities and strengthens your will. This class will leave you feeling strong, limber and vital in mind body and spirit.


ZEN Vinyasa

A refined blend of yoga and qigong not as tough as a vinyasa but not as gentle as our soft flow highly recommended for beginners


Zen Gentle Flow

Take it down a few notches with Gentle Flow. This class is a much slower and softer place than the vinyasa classes but still getting that deep restorative yin type stretch. This class can be done from a chair or standing

Power and Restore

This class offers Half power yoga, a fast paced awakening vinyasa and half restorative yoga, a passive style of yoga using props to support your body ion the pose. All levels welcome!

 

New Students

 
 

What do I need?

A good attitude and a willingness to come and learn. A yoga mat, a towel, and water.

 

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes that is moveable and breathable. Form-fitting clothes provides more comfort when practicing.

 

Is power yoga advanced?

This practice is for ALL LEVELS, all the time. All ages, body types, and fitness levels. Come to be challenged and create calm by “trying easy”. Remember to be patient; learning something new is a process.

 

I’ve never done yoga before. Is this practice suited for me?

Levels of intensity can be modified to tailor and suit your needs. This practice can be challenging, but make the practice your own. The more the practice, the stronger and more flexible you will become. Stick with it!

 

How often should I practice?

Maintaining a yoga practice requires discipline, and consistency is essential. Practicing consistently three days a week will change your body; practicing five days a week will change your life.

Show up, be lighthearted, be ready for anything and have fun!

 

Private Lessons
 

Weather You’re new to the practice, recovering from an injury or health aliment, training for an event or just want to refine your skills. We tailor the practice to you. One on one or small group sessions, we bring special attention to you through personal training. Lets make it happen!

 

Studio Etiquette

 

Be on time

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class. Make it a part of your practice to arrive early.

Texts and Phones

No cell phones are allowed near your mat. Please silence or turn off phones before the start of class.

Be Prepared

Bring your own mat, towel, and water. If you need to borrow a mat, please contact us and we will lend you one.

Cleanliness

Maintain your practice area clean and tidy. Shoes, bags, coats, or any other possessions are kept in cubbies. Your area should be clutter-free and should only have a towel, water bottle, and any yoga props you may use.
